Bermuda Trip, August 2018

Bermuda        Since this was a cruise, we only had 3 days to fully experience Bermudan culture. The majority of the trip was spent on the ship, but nonetheless it was a fun time. When on land, it was clear why Bermuda has been such a popular tourist area for such a long time. Not only was the temperature nice and warm, but the landscape was beautiful.        When we first stepped off the boat, we decided to go to the crystal caves. The next day we went to the famous Warwick Long Bay. The final day in Bermuda was spent on a catamaran. Each of these activities took up the whole day. While we did explore the tourist gift shops and expensive Hilton Hotels, they were mere side-excursions that didn't really impact the trip too much. Crystal Caves         The crystal caves were very interesting and beautiful. We started off by a couple of hundred feet down through a rock tunnel which then opened into the area with the crystals....

Alaska Trip, August 2017

Vancouver        We landed in Vancouver but didn't do much there. We got to our hotel late at night and roamed the streets a little before we settled in for the night. At night there were a lot of homeless people passed out in various places on the street. When we woke up the next day we walked around the city, but nothing spectacular. We then boarded out cruise ship with anticipation for what was to come.        On the cruise there wasn't too much to do. In general, we hung out in our room, painted pictures, relaxed in the pool, and ate a lot. I usually enjoy the ride, but for some reason this one wasn't as eventful. Ketchikan           Helicopter Ride         We initially didn't have a plan when getting to this town, but after leaving the ship we quickly decided to go on a helicopter ride. Since our group was so large, we had to go in two separate groups. My group went first. We boarded...

Costa Rica, April 2016

Costa Rica Our trip was unlike any of the ones I have been on before. We rented a home away with the Rosens, but it was different than what I originally expected. The house was mainly outdoors. The corridors were paved and separated the rooms. My room was farthest away from everyone, but I got to keep it to myself. Since we were in a forest canopy, we got to see some animals like the sloth and Jesus Christ Lizard. It felt like we were really deep into the Costa Rican Jungles. I even got a sound recording of the monkeys howling at night. It was a very immersive experience. We also had our own personal chef who made us Costa Rican delicacies for breakfast and dinner. We usually ate lunch with our excursions during the day. The house hosted many commodities like a pool table, a terrace, 2 hot tubs (one outdoor and one indoor), and a pool. It was very lavish, but still felt as if we were in the forest due to the openness of the house. Our days were filled with adventure, though,...
